“Community-Centric Fundraising is a fundraising model that is grounded in equity and social justice. We prioritize the entire community over individual organizations, foster a sense of belonging and interdependence, present our work not as individual transactions but holistically, and encourage mutual support between nonprofits.”
“JCARF is a community supported reparations and mutual aid project focused on the individual and collective wellness of our local community of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. We raise funds and in kind contributions from folks who benefit from white privilege and distribute these resources among the BIPOC community.”
“Wake Up began in the Bay Area. Over the years of meeting and building relationships with each other, we have formed an intergenerational community of white anti-racists. Since then, Wake Up has grown across several states, facilitated by folks who have been mentored by Holistic Resistance. Wake Up is part of a larger collective, the Holistic Resistance community. During this time most groups are online and accessible to people from all over; for more info, visit our Bay Area page.
We invite you to join us in our fight to dismantle white supremacy.”
“At the risk of having too many hats, we are determined to take on where wrong is happening and interrupt it. For example, being an active minimalist is how we resist. We opt out of classism and consumerism as much as we can. Also, preventable care and community care has played a massive role in how we resist.
Through caring for ourselves and our community, we resist. Through getting our touch needs and earth needs met, we resist. Through building relationship and connection across identities, we resist. Through collaborating with activists and creating art, we resist.”
